Sawik Render Board
SCHMITT RESIDENCE — BUILD OS · QUALITY GATE

SAWIK RENDER BOARD

Every rendering deployed on schmitt-residence-hud.pages.dev, graded against the inspo standard, with the verification checklist per plate, the tool-stack verdicts, and the pipeline that closes the gap to the end product.

ACCURACY — the twin90%

County-exact parcel, survey terrain, plan-extracted CAD model. Left: Hoerner DWG diff, guest/garage placement verify.

IDENTITY — photoreal55%

Six concept plates live, materials-corrected but not plan-verified. Left: Cycles render pass, AI enhance, color locks.

EXPERIENCE — walkthrough35%

Orbit twin with 5 modes + explode. Left: first-person WALK, flyover films, 3DGS ground truth, staging.

RENDER QC — DEPLOYED PLATES

Tap any plate to inspect full-screen. Grades: concept-plate identity, not document accuracy — every plate below must survive its VERIFY list before it counts as final.
FRONT APPROACH — DUSK
B+

FRONT APPROACH — DUSK

Hero cycler 1 of 6 · hub front door
Gemini 2.5 plate, conditioned on A4 south + west elevations · materials pass 08-22
VERIFY AGAINST THE DOCUMENTS
  • Window count + placement vs A4 south elevation (11 residence openings)
  • Fascia band ~1.0 ft painted metal — no parapet mass above roof line
  • Stucco reads SMOOTH (not sand finish) at this distance
  • Roof: monolithic tan membrane — confirm zero standing seams
REPLACEMENT PATH

Replace with plan-exact Cycles render from the true-CAD glb + Gemini img2img enhance

REAR TERRACE — GOLDEN HOUR
B

REAR TERRACE — GOLDEN HOUR

Hero cycler 2 of 6
Gemini 2.5 plate, conditioned on A4/A5 · materials pass 08-22
VERIFY AGAINST THE DOCUMENTS
  • Spiral stair at NW end (6 ft steel) — position + proportion vs A5
  • Roof-deck guardrail run: central-to-north portion only, non-continuous
  • Dark bronze window frames at dusk exposure
  • Terrace grade relationship vs C2 TOW/BOW callouts
REPLACEMENT PATH

Same Cycles + enhance pipeline; camera matched to A5 rear elevation station

AERIAL — LOT 2 SAWIK CIRCLE
B-

AERIAL — LOT 2 SAWIK CIRCLE

Hero cycler 3 of 6
Gemini 2.5 aerial concept · massing arrangement from site plan
VERIFY AGAINST THE DOCUMENTS
  • Four-building arrangement vs C2: residence / garage abutting / breezeway + guest on the 40° SE corridor
  • Drive alignment — AI-invented curves vs the platted approach
  • 82.77 ft printed setback plausibility from this angle
  • Landscaping is invented — flag anything that contradicts the arborist letter (S1–S2 remove, S3–S4 salvage, S5 protect)
REPLACEMENT PATH

Superseded by 3DGS ground truth + Google 3D Tiles surroundings (Phase 6)

GUEST COURT & BREEZEWAY
B

GUEST COURT & BREEZEWAY

Hero cycler 4 of 6
Gemini 2.5 plate · materials pass 08-22
VERIFY AGAINST THE DOCUMENTS
  • Breezeway span + roof height vs A2 (separate lower plate)
  • Guest house: 8 openings — count vs schema extraction
  • Court paving + shade condition are concept, not documented
REPLACEMENT PATH

Cycles render from glb once guest/garage placement is verified vs aerial

SITE TODAY — AERIAL
REF

SITE TODAY — AERIAL

Hero cycler 5 of 6 · baseline
Current-condition aerial (imagery-derived) — the BEFORE plate
VERIFY AGAINST THE DOCUMENTS
  • Parcel edges vs county GIS (recorded plat matched sub-foot in the twin)
  • Existing saguaro cluster positions vs arborist survey
REPLACEMENT PATH

Keep as baseline; replace with drone orthophoto when Andrew flies the lot

COMPLETED SITE — AERIAL CONCEPT
B

COMPLETED SITE — AERIAL CONCEPT

Hero 6 of 6 + RENDERED-mode terrain drape
Gemini 2.5 completed-site concept · draped on 3D survey terrain in the Twin
VERIFY AGAINST THE DOCUMENTS
  • Building footprints vs county parcel line where the drape meets the boundary
  • Pool position vs massing (center + water level)
  • Desert revegetation is concept — verify nothing sits on the S5 protect zone
REPLACEMENT PATH

Re-drape from a Cycles top-down once the art pass lands; ultimately 3DGS

TOOL STACK — VERDICTS FOR THIS BUILD

The research list, filtered against two hard facts: the house is already designed (Hoerner 2025-13 is truth), and this studio runs macOS.
SITE & FEASIBILITY
PASSAutodesk Forma

Solar/wind/noise feasibility for undesigned plots. This house is designed and permitted; sun-study comes free from Blender's physical sun on our survey terrain.

PASSTestFit / Archistar

Multifamily + commercial deal feasibility. Wrong asset class for a custom single-family build. Revisit only if ORVOMA sells feasibility to CRE clients.

PLANS & BIM
PASSSnaptrude / ARCHITEChTURES / Finch

They generate layouts. Hoerner's stamped 24-sheet set IS the truth here — generating alternatives adds risk, not value. Our schema extraction already made the plans machine-readable.

LATERRevit (native)

Only becomes relevant to diff Hoerner's DWG when Maria delivers it. Our FreeCAD IFC/DXF export path covers that for free.

PHOTOREAL IDENTITY
ADAPTChaos V-Ray / Enscape

The concept, not the license: offline path-tracing + AI enhance. Blender Cycles (installed, free) is our path tracer; Gemini img2img is our Chaos-AI-Enhancer equivalent. Enscape is Windows-first — skip.

PASSD5 Render / Lumion

Both require Windows + NVIDIA RTX. This studio runs macOS — a hard fact the tool lists skip. Twinmotion (below) is the Mac-native equivalent.

ADOPTTripo AI

Generate furniture/staging glbs from prompts, drop into the Twin and walkthrough scenes. Cheap, immediate, feeds virtual staging.

EXPERIENCE & WALKTHROUGH
EVALUATEUnreal Engine 5 / Twinmotion

The ceiling for walkthrough quality; free license, runs on Apple silicon. Web delivery needs Pixel Streaming (server cost) — first deliverable would be cinematic walkthrough VIDEO, not live web. Decision: Andrew's call after the render pass.

ADOPTKling / Veo flyovers

Already Phase 6: keyframe-to-keyframe morphs (empty lot → completed home) and flyover clips from our render pairs. We have Gemini/Veo access today.

LATERMatterport

For EXISTING spaces. Becomes right during construction (progress capture) and at completion (true interior twin). Slot exists in Phase 6.

ADOPT3D Gaussian Splat (planned)

Still the ace: photoreal ground truth of the real lot in-browser, zero engine cost. Blocked only on Andrew's walk-around video.

PIPELINE TO THE END PRODUCT

In execution order. Steps 01–04 need nothing from outside this machine.
01
Art pass + placement verify

Blender Cycles: physical AZ sun, PBR stucco/membrane/bronze, camera stations matched to A4/A5. Verify guest + garage toWorld vs aerial.

ME — this machine, this week
02
Plan-exact render set

6 replacement heroes + blueprint-miniature + x-ray poster from the true-CAD glb. Every plate QC'd against the checks on this board before it ships.

ME — Cycles + Gemini enhance
03
WALK mode in the Twin

First-person pointer-lock walkthrough inside the browser twin (three.js — no engine, no license, ships on the existing site).

04
Flyover + morph clips

Veo/Kling: site-today aerial morphing into completed-site; dusk approach flyover for the hub hero.

05
UE5/Twinmotion decision

Import glb, build one cinematic interior walkthrough video. Evaluate quality-per-hour vs Cycles before committing deeper.

06
Ground truth

Lot walk-around video → 3DGS splat into the Twin slot; drone ortho replaces SITE TODAY.

ANDREW — flight + video
07
